Re: "pass each other, going in opposite directions."

That's impossible.

Going in opposite direction could result in meeting, not passing.

Moving in the same direction as another could result in passing...imo... he, he...grin.

RE: American Economy

Quote:
And as a cold rain fell outside the Sacramento Memorial Auditorium, the news — delivered by state budget officials to an audience that included about 500 state and local legislators — got progressively bleak. Unless something is done, California faces annual $20 billion deficits for at least the next five years. Unemployment will not return to pre-recession levels until 2015. And the title of one slide projected on the screen behind the panel? “Worse next year than this year.”

Hahaha! You get used to them, bro.

Where I lived in New Zealand, (near the beach) there was an island off the coast, about 50kms offshore. It was a volcano, and you could see it puffing steam and smoke from time to time! Honestly, you forget its there....of course, if the thing actually erupted and caused damage, well...that might change things!

You can add floods to the list too. Since this global warming idea has taken hold, Australia has not only officially come out of a 10 year drought, but 2010 has also been the wettest year in decades - so wet, that there has been major flooding along the eastern seaboard during many parts of the year.

Currently, it is regional NSW, (New South Wales) QLD (Queensland) and VIC (Victoria) getting hammered.

Farmers here have been devasted by the drought, only to be reamed by flooding.

But thats ok -- at least it has put a pause on the Locust threat, which potentially could plague the WHOLE Eastern seaboard of Australia!

Still beats the Northern Hemisphere by a long shot though!!!:funnyface::friends:;)

RE: American Economy

Hmmmmmmmm.

The USA government bails out the car manufacturers with taxpayer money and where does the company that makes parts for them want to open up a new factory?

................. Mexico!

Does it make sense?

http://www.theglobeandmail.com/globe-inv...le1884932/

If I was a USA taxpayer I think I would stop buying GM cars.

Using my tax money to send jobs out of the country would really upset me.
