a rather poignant scriptural reading today... :heartbeat:
''We put no stumbling block in anyone's path, so that our
ministry will not be discredited.'' 2 Cor. 6:3
''Rather, as servants of GOd we commend ourselves in every way;
in great endurance; in troubles, hardships and distresses; (4)
''in beatings, imprisonments and riots; in hard work, sleepless
nights and hunger, (5)
''in purity, understanding, patience and kindness;
in the Holy Spirit and in sincere love;'' (6)
''in truthful speech and in the power of God; with weapons
of righteousness in the right hand and in the left; (7)
''through glory and dishonor, bad report and good report;
genuine,yet regarded as imposters; (8)
''known, yet regarded as unknown, dying, and
yet we live on; beaten, and yet not killed.'' (9)
sorrowful , yet always rejoicing; poor, yet making many rich;
having nothing, and yet possessing everything.'' (10)
''We have spoken freely to you, Corinthians, and opened
wide our hearts to you. (11)
''We are not witholding our affection from you, but you
are withholding yours from us.'' (12)
''As a fair exchange--I speak as to my children--:heartbeat:
open wide your hearts also.'' (13) (beautiful)
I can so hear the words--''open wide your hearts--to us.''
that is all they asked after describing all they were going through--
very heart touching to me....
I loved verse 10 also--''having nothing, yet possessing everything.''
Don't we feel that way--we have Jesus and he is everything and without him there is nothing...sums it up pretty perfectly in my mind...
have a wonderful evening friends--with an open heart :heartbeat:
''In the midst of winter I finally learned that in me there was an invincible summer.'' Albert Camus
''live simply, speak kindly, love unconditionally''
